07 Feb Anthony Lehmo Lehmann scores Triple M radio spot after Gold FM axing
He will also do a spot on Jane Kennedy and Mick Molloy’s national drive show.
Lehmann, a one-eyed Hawks supporter, told Confidential: “I’m looking forward to bringing a much-needed Hawthorn voice to the Hot Breakfast, they desperately need it.”
Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann will join Eddie McGuire, Luke Darcy and Wil Anderson for a regular spot on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.
“To all mine and Jo’s magnificent Gold listeners, why don’t you pop over to Triple M. Have a laugh and find out what’s going on in Melbourne.”
McGuire welcomed Lehmann with a lighthearted dig about new broadcasters on the FM dial, which includes a Brit at Gold, and two Kiwis on KIIS.
“We couldn’t find anyone who has never lived in Melbourne before to work on our show, so we’ve had to go with Lehmo who can actually find the MCG without Google Maps!” McGuire said.
Lehmann’s first spot will be on Triple M at 7.30am on Thursday.
Earlier this year, Lehmann said he was shocked and disappointed at being axed from Gold FM, especially after delivering the station’s best-ever breakfast ratings.
“We were number one and then we got sacked,” he said. “We were idiots. We should never have gone to number one.”
